Can't Miss Seminars

I have mentioned many times that I think seminars are good for several reasons. Reasons like growing your business from continued education, growing your network of friends and clients and of course most important is all of the brain storming possibilities. I should have news about additional fr~ee teleseminars I will be having very soon. I would love to hear from you what topics you would like covered. Here are a few events I think you won't want to miss and they are in different areas so maybe at least one will work for you.

The first one coming up is Stu McClaren's Idea Incubator Seminar - Stu is the Idea guy; he likes to show you how you can take your ideas and turn them into income. The Idea Incubator Seminar is February 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2006 in Anaheim, California. Some of the speakers scheduled to appear are Alex Mandossian, Armand Morin, Stephen Pierce, Paul Colligan and many more. Check out the details at: Idea Incubator Seminar

The next seminar on schedule is Mark Victor Hansen's Mega Marketing Magic. Of course you know Mark from the "Chicken Soup For The Soul" Fame. If you've been to ANY store recently I am sure you have seen one of his titles, so to say that he knows something about marketing would be an understatement. Mega Marketing Magic is March 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2006 in Los Angeles, California. Mark Victor Hansen Is brining in 10 of the world's most successful Marketers he knows for the event. Some of the marketers speaking include Jay Abraham, Chet Holmes, Joe Sugarman, Declan Dunn, Alex Mandossian and many more. Need more information? visit Mega Marketing Magic

Big Seminar 7 is the next event on the schedule for this year. This is the biggest Internet Marketing Seminar I know of. Check out BigSeminar2006.com to see how big this seminar was last year, it is scheduled to be even bigger this year. You'll get to hear from people like Craig Perrine, Mike Stewart, Dave Lakani, Armand Morin, Alex Mandossian, Mike Filsaime, John Childers and many others. This will be my 6th Big Seminar that I have attended and I have enjoyed every one. Hopefully I will see you at Big Seminar 2006

Cool Tools

Recently I have been working from my laptop these days just because of the mobility of being able to have all the power I need no matter where I am.

With me working on the web and Network consulting I have to store a lot of information that needs to be kept confidential which brought up a major concern for me. Trying to rely on one source to store all that information is risky so I have a jump drive and a pocket drive for back up purposes. In using these I got to thinking how easy it would be for someone to pick up either of those mobile devices and have access to all of those records and vital files.

So I went looking for a resource that would meet my needs. I found an application that does what I was looking for and more. "Folder Lock" allows me to run the locking application right from the mobile device or from the main computer. It is very fast; very easy to use; and very affordable. It allows me to securely lock down folders add some encryption and more. If you have mobile devices or simply have files that you feel you need to secure Check out Folder Lock or c1ick here to get the demo instantly.

Things You Should Know!

In the last issue I covered a search engine topic. This time I will cover something that you can use on your websites. Every wonder how people include today's date on their website so that it is always today's date? It is a simple JavaScript that you can include on your website with one line of html code. You can get the code by right c1icking here and saving to your hard drive. You will need to upload that to the root of your website.

Next all you have to do is add the following line of html code on your web page where you want the date to appear.

<script src="date.js"></script>

That's it! That is all that is needed to include that on your website. You may need to include the full path to the script such as http://www.yoursitename.com/date.js just in case you put it in a different folder than the page you are working on.

Adding a JavaScript this way is called a JavaScript include. I feel it is the best way to add javascript to your page because it doesn't clutter the code that the search engines need to spider. And it makes the web page a little lighter since the code resides outside the page.

Let me know what challenges you are having at http://www.EasyOnlineTips.com and I will try to cover it in an upcoming issue.

This Issue's Question

Someone recently asked what are good colors to use on a website. My question back was who is your target market, what's the product and what is the cost. Each of these can affect the colors you should use as either prominent colors or highlights on the page.

In regards to this I have done some research and put together a full article which you can read by visiting http://www.thatonewebguy.com/Colors_for_Marketing.swf

Well that is all for this edition. I hope you found some take aways from this newsletter. Please feel free to pass this newsletter onto others if you think they can use it.

Until next time...

All the best and much success in everything you do!
